Sun Station

Under Daf alias Alexander Ivanov – talented musician from Saint Petersburg. His music imaginations is infinite ambient landscapes seasoned by most complicated IDM and downtempo-rhythms. Intelligent soft sound-moods of Alexander Daf, beautiful backgrounds and warm atmospheres includes in each track got charted in the independent charts and played many various IDM-djs.
Now Alexander Daf the participant of promo-group Sun Station Records and label manager of Microcosmos Records. He has released a couple of EPs on well-known European labels. His debut full length album “A Thousands Reasons to Be” was released by major american label System Recordings in the end of 2008. This album was highly acclaimed and entered Beatport’s Chillout Top 100. Now Alexander regulary performs in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, participates in various festivals and records a brand new album with famous british ambient producer Matt Coldrick (Pan Electric).
At the begining of 2010 was released new split album with Aedem on Microcosmos Records. Presentation of album took place at 13 of February at Saint Petersburg city.

Под творческим псевдонимом Alexander Daf скрывается Александр Иванов — молодой и талантливый музыкант из Санкт-Петербурга. Будучи преданным поклонником ambient и chill out музыки, он создает собственное неповторимое звучание. Его стихия — бесконечные эмбиентные ландшафты, сложнейшие ритмические конструкции и едва уловимые настроения восточной этники. Музыку Александра Дафа знают и любят во всем мире. Его работы издавались в Германии (Bloodsugar Records) Латвии (Elpa), Украине (Sentimony), США (System Recordings) и др. Легендарный литовский нет-лейбл Sutemos включил трек Дафа “Inflow” в компиляцию “Intelligent Toys 4”, где также были представлены творения известнейших музыкантов — Vladislav Delay, Lackluster, Sleepy Town Manufacture, Funckarma и многих других. В конце 2008 года в продаже появился дебютный альбом Alexander Daf “A Thousands Reasons to Be”, изданный крупнейшей американской рекорд-компанией System Recordings. Пластинка получила множество лестных отзывов и вошла в Chillout Top 100 интернет-магазина Beatport.
Сейчас Александр Даф является резидентом лейбла Sun Station Records и лайбл-менеджером Microcosmos Records.
В 2010 году на Microcosmos Records выходит сплит-альбом “Prism”, написанный вместе с Aedem. А также планируется совместный альбом с музыкантом Мэттом Колдриком (Matt Coldrick — Pan Electric). И в этом году с его участием выйдут сборники на Aleph Zero и Avatar Records (Израиль).
